In support of physical security, teachers can signal an emergency in the classroom from a PC or phone and instantly, simultaneously notify the principal, security officer, nurse or counselor on their mobile phones, desk phones, PCs, etc. IP-enabled alarms on doors, windows, or smoke detectors can signal those same staff members as needed. Administrators can also deliver lockdown alerts to every classroom via email, text or voice message to phones and/or computers, supporting school and district security policies.
