Turning on/off the unit

You can also turn on the unit by pressing any one of the 0 (OPEN/ CLOSE) buttons on the front panel.

NOTE

Even if you press the or DVD - TV button to turn off the unit, the unit is not disconnected from the AC power source as long as it is connected to the wall outlet. This state is called the standby mode. In this state, the unit is designed to consume a very small quantity of power.

Inserting and removing discs

Up to three discs can be set in the unit. You may insert a disc into any of disc trays 1 through 3.

1 Press 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) located on the right of the tray corresponding to disc number. The corresponding disc tray opens.

2 Place the disc in the tray.

• To insert an 8-cm disc, place it

in the inner recess.

3 Press 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) to close the disc tray.

If you press 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) for the disc being played, the unit stops and then opens the tray.

You can change, insert or remove the disc by pressing 0 (OPEN/CLOSE) for a disc tray which is not in use for playback while the disc in aother tray is being played, without stopping play.

NOTES

The unit can playback DVD, Audio CD, Video CD and SVCD discs only. Do not load other disc types. For details about playable disc types, see page 11.

When loading a disc in the tray, be sure to position the disc inside the recess. Otherwise, the disc may be damaged when the tray is closed, and the disc may not be removed from the unit.
