Chapter 4: DVD Menu System

Digital Output

If you connected your DVD player to a receiver via the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack (COAXIAL or OPTICAL) on the back of the player, choose the type of receiver (or decoder) you have.

1.If the menu isn’t on the screen, press the STOP button (the main menu appears).

2.Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlightSound. Press OK.

3.Use the up/down arrows to highlight the Digital Output option. Press OK. (the options appear)

4.Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight your selection. Press OK to select.

5.Press the left arrow button to return to the Sound menu or press MENU to exit the menu system.

Virtual Surround

The Virtual Surround® feature simulates a six-speaker listening experience through just two speakers. There are no adjustments for the Virtual Surround® feature — you turn it on or off. The default setting is Off. To turn the Virtual Surround® feature on:

1.From the Main Menu, (player on, no disc playing), press the down arrow button on the remote to highlight Sound and press OK (the Sound options appear).

2.Press the down arrow button to highlight Virtual Surround.

3.To turn it on, press the OK button (On appears next to the Virtual Surround menu).
