Long Panel Life, Up to 100,000 Hours
Panasonic Plasma technology advancement has resulted in 100,000 hours usage until the panel achieves 50% of the original brightness. The VIERA plasma panel offers a long service life of about 30 years or more, when watched for eight hours a day.
*This measurement is based on the time taken for the brightness of the panel to reduce to half of its initial maximum level based on operation in the normal mode with dynamic content. The time taken to reach this level may vary depending on the image content and the environment where the TV is used. Image retention and malfunctions are not taken into account.

VIERA TOUGH PANEL
Front glass panel provides high resistance to impacts. The front of the plasma TV is covered by a glass panel, for extra assurance just in case something hits it. What's more, the protective panel makes cleaning easier too; simply wipe the panel with a soft cloth when necessary.

Eye fatigue is suppressed, so both children and adults can watch TV in comfort even when viewing for relatively long periods of time. In a plasma TV, each pixel lights up, and the lighting intensity is adjusted according to the scene. Because of this, the images are not overly bright.
