Playback 11 Basic play

Basic play

Instructions for operations are generally described using the remote control in this manual.

Start play

Preparation

Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input on the television with the remote control for the television.

1 Open the front cover.

 

 

 

2 Press /I POWER] to turn on the unit.

 

 

 

3 Press [< OPEN/CLOSE] to open the disc tray

 

 

 

and load the disc.

 

 

 

Load double-sided discs so the label for the side you want to

 

 

 

play is facing up.

 

 

 

DVD-RAM: Remove discs from their cartridges before use.

 

 

 

4 Press [1] (PLAY) to start play.

If the screen prompting you to use the color buttons appears,

continue to operate with the color buttons on the remote control.

Start play

It is not possible to play continuously from one side of a double sided disc to the other. You will need to eject the disc and turn it over.

STOP Stop

The stopped position is memorized.

Resume play function

Press [1] (PLAY) to restart from this position.

The disc position is cleared if the tray is opened or [] is pressed several times.

[DVD-A] [CD] [VCD] [MP3]: The position is cleared if the unit is turned off.

[Note]

DISCS CONTINUE TO ROTATE WHILE MENUS ARE DISPLAYED. Press [] when you have finished playback to protect the unit’s motor, your television screen and so on.

[DVD-A] [CD] [MP3]: Audio is heard during all levels of search.

Slow-motion (During pause)

The speed increases up to 5 steps.

[BD-V] [VCD]: Forward direction [5] only.

Press [1] (PLAY) to revert to normal playback speed.

You can also use Multi-jog to Search/Slow-motion. (13, Search/ Slow-motion)
