TV MODE OTHER INFORMATION

Technical information details

The technical information screen displays the hardware and software information of the receiver. This information may be required by the service agent or service call operator.

1Press » «, select »SETUP« and press »OK«.

2Select »TECHNICAL INFORMATION« and press »OK«.

Electricity consumption

The Receiver/Player will always switch to standby when you press the » 9« key, but will still use energy running the clock and other functions of the Receiver/ Player. To minimise this energy drain, if you press and hold the » 9« key, the Receiver/Player will switch off all functions. In this mode the Receiver/Player only uses a tiny amount of energy, but it will take a little longer to switch on. It will also interrupt the aerial signal making analogue TV viewing or recording impossible. If you don’t press a key on the handset or the Receiver/Player within 24 hours, then the unit will automatically switch to this low power standby mode.

Notes on simultaneous operation

The Receiver/Player will always switch on in TV mode. To switch to Disc mode press » «, » « or »!«

The SVHS output will always provide a signal in TV mode, but must be correctly set-up for Disc mode. (See “Selecting the video output socket” in the Disc mode section of the user manual.

The aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9) of the signal is stored for TV mode and Disc mode separately so the settings must be adjusted accordingly.

The TV program reminder will occur in TV mode or Disc Mode. If you choose to watch your chosen TV program when in Disc Mode, the Receiver/Player will automatically switch to TV Mode and Stop Disc playback. If you choose cancel the Disc playback will resume.

When a timer event is set, the 2nd infra red controller is disabled to prevent interruption.

Optional RF External Infrared Receiver kit

1Connect the receiver adapter into the aerial socket of your 2nd TV and then connect the aerial extension lead from the »RF Out2« socket on the Receiver/Player to the adapter.

2Place the Infrared Receiver on top of the TV or somewhere in view.

3Follow the steps in the Advanced setup section of this book to configure the Receiver/Player to work with the 2nd handset.
