Adjusting VIEW MODE Settings

You can directly change the size of the picture by pressing VIEW MODE on the remote control.

VIEW MODE	1 Press VIEW MODE to display
	the VIEW MODE screen.

•The VIEW MODE screen automati- cally disappears in 3 seconds.

Selected item	Description

SIDE BAR	Suitable for viewing conventional 4:3 programs in their normal format.
SMART STRETCH	Suitable for stretching 4:3 programs to fill the screen.
STRETCH	This mode is useful for 1.78:1 DVDs.
	When viewing 1.85:1 DVDs, stretch mode will still show very thin black bands at
	the top and bottom of the screen.
ZOOM	Suitable for viewing wide-screen 2.35:1 anamorphic DVDs in full screen.

•CAPTION or TEXT cannot be displayed while ZOOM is selected in VIEW MODE.

Selecting ZOOM in VIEW MODE while CLOSED CAPTION is set to CAPTION or TEXT will display “CC CANNOT BE USED IN ZOOM MODE PLEASE SELECT ANOTHER VIEW TO SEE CC”. In this case, select another view.
