Technically Speaking

ChyTV operates as a standalone device and offers optimum reliability. When it’s added to the video/audio path, it works with various external sources, including cable and satellite TV systems, as well as DVD players, VCRs, and other media players. Just position the unit between an external TV tuner (such as a cable box) or a direct video source (such as a DVD player or VCR), and a TV.

Once you connect ChyTV to your video source and the TV with the included cables, the system’s software guides you through the configuration and content-creation process. The box also features a 10/100 Ethernet port for direct network connections and for downloading content and schedules via the Internet. Just assign the ChyTV unit an IP address and use a networked PC to control a ChyTV presentation, make live data updates, upload files for broadcast, and perform other advanced functions.
