Video Stabilizer

By activating the Video Stabilizer you can correct vertical vibrations in the picture when playing back unstable EP recordings that were made on another VCR. When this function is set to "ON", vertical vibration will be automatically corrected. *The default setting is "OFF".

R3 Picture maximizes sense of resolution and sharpens image edges to make playback picture look better focused.

ACTIVATE R3 PICTURE

 

Press R3 PICTURE. The R3 PICTURE indicator will light.

 

To turn off R3 Picture, press R3 PICTURE again so that

 

the light goes off.

 

 

Normally it is recommendable to keep R3 Picture ON

 

 

(with the indicator lit).

 

 

Depending on the type of tape used, picture quality

 

 

may be better with R3 Picture set to off.

 

 

If you use this recorder as the player for editing, be

 

 

sure to turn off R3 Picture before starting.

 

 

The setting will remain effective even though you

 

 

turn on/off the recorder.

NOTES:

Regardless of the setting, this function has no effect with SP recordings, during recording and during special-effects playback.

When you finish viewing the tape, be sure to set it back to "OFF".
