Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Fostex Model COP-1/96k.

The COP-1/96k is a digital signal (sampling frequency: 32kHz~96kHz) conversion adaptor for converting "Light (OPTICAL) to Coaxial (COAXIAL)" or "Coaxial (COAXIAL) to Light (OPTICAL)." The COP-1/96k allows you to connect digital equipment with differing digital input and output connections for digital signal copying*. The COP-1/96k makes it possible to use a DAT recorder that only has a coaxial digital signal input and output connectors as the master recorder for use with the Fostex Digital Multitracker.

<Notes>

*Digital copying is not possible if the source material is protected by SCMS.

*Connect the AC adaptor only to a wall outlet that meets the conditions stated in the Specification Chart. Failure to do so could be extremely dangerous and may result in fire or electric shock.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
