Puts control back into the hands of the viewer by blocking unwanted television broadcasts with U.S. Government required circuitry. Blocks three types of programs: regular television programs, broadcast movies and unrated programs.

Program rating information is sent by the broadcaster continuously during the program. The television will match program rating to user preference and block the entire program (when program is aired with the encoded signal). User preference is secured using a four-digit password.

VCR Capabilities

•6-Head System

Four video recording and pick-up heads on a single head drum provide improved special effect performance. With the new SFX design, you can visually pause on the tape at any speed, and slow-motion effects are clearer and more jitter-free. Two additional AFM audio heads allow Stereo Hi-Fi recording and playback. The combination of six heads allows full theatre video and audio, and allows full stereo performance copying from all high-level consumer and professional camcorders. Using a T-160 tape, up to eight hours of stereophonic audio can be recorded for extended playback, or six hours with any standard T-120 VHS tape.

•8-Event/1-Month Programmable Timer The built-in timer memory can be preset up to one month in advance to record as many as eight different programs automatically.

•Digital Auto Tracking Plus Combines the best performance of an automatic digital tracking scan system, which automatically “locks” on the best signal, with the added convenience of manual override. Manual up/down tracking is sometimes preferred when rental tapes have been damaged or recorded on older recorders with tracking out of adjustment.

•Auto Repeat

Automatically rewinds at the end of the tape and then begins replay.

•Auto Power On, Auto Play, Auto Rewind

Simply inserting a cassette in the VCR turns it on (Auto Power On). When a prerecorded cassette is inserted in the VCR, it automatically starts to play (Auto Play). When the end of the tape is reached, Auto Rewind automatically rewinds the tape.
