Chapter 4 Using your HDTV the first time

Selecting an Input Source

Select the input source for your HDTV by pressing INPUT on the remote control or side of your HDTV. Pressing this button will cycle you through the following options: TV, AV1, AV1, COMPONENT 1, COMPONENT 2, RGB (VGA), HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3, and HDMI4.

Turn on your device and you will see a picture on your HDTV. If there is no picture, make sure you have selected the correct input on your HDTV.

Note: If the selected device is RF connected, your HDTV needs to be in TV mode and on either channel 3 or channel 4 matching the channel which has been selected

on the back of the VCR, Cable Box, External TV Tuner or Satellite Receiver. Refer to Owner or User’s Manual of such equipment for details.

Setting the Time Zone and Daylight Savings

1.Select TV using the INPUT button on the remote control.

2.Press MENU to bring up the Menu display. The Picture Menu is highlighted.

3.Press or to highlight TV, and then press OK to select it.

4.Press either ▲ or ▼ to scroll to Time Zone, and then press either ◄ or

to set the proper Time Zone of your area.

5.Press to scroll down to Daylight Saving, and then press either ◄ or

to set to On or Off.

6.Press MENU once to return to the previous screen or repeatedly to return to your program if task has been completed.

Your new HDTV is now ready to use. Enjoy your TV watching!!
