E.A.M. DVD-V VCD CD

You can obtain expansive virtual surround sound effects from just two speakers.

Normal: Normal sound.

3D: To obtain expansive virtual surround sound

effects from just two speakers.

3D (Headphone):

To obtain expansive virtual surround sound effects when using headphone.

Dialog: To control critical center channel information to make dialogue more intelligible (only when playing a DVD video disc recorded on the Dolby Digital recording system).

To use this enhancement on sounds output from the BITSTREAM/PCM jack, be sure to set “Audio Out Select” to “PCM.”

Note

Pressing the E.A.M. button on the remote control also allows you to achieve the same setup. 37

D.R.C. DVD-V

Turn on or off a function that makes faint sounds easier to hear even if you lower the volume during late hours playback.

D.R.C. = Dynamic Range Control

ON : Dynamic range is reduced.

OFF : Full dynamic range is maintained.

Notes

This function works only during playback of Dolby Digital recorded discs.

The level of Dynamic Range Reduction may differ depending on the DVD disc.

Audio Out Select DVD-V VCD CD

Select the output sound format corresponding to your system connection.

Bitstream: Select when connected to an amplifier equipped with a Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG1 or MPEG2 decoder. 58 59 The player outputs digital audio information in the bitstream format when you play a DVD video disc recorded in the Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG1 or MPEG2 recording system.
