Chapter 6: Using the TV’s features

Reset Factory Defaults of Audio

To reset all tone quality of Audio to their factory default values:

1�

Press

and open the Audio menu.

2�

Highlight Settings.

3� Press u or , all Audio settings will recover to factory default values.

Selecting the optical output format

You can use this feature to select the optical output format when you connect a Dolby Digital decoder or other digital audio system to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal on the TV (see “Connecting a digital audio system” on page 18).

To select the optical output format:

1� Press and open the Audio menu. 2� Highlight Optical Output Format.

3� Press or cyclically to select either Dolby Digital or PCM, depending on your device.

Using the Parental Control menu

The Parental Control menu includes US Ratings, Canadian Rating , Advanced Rating, Advanced Parental Lock and New PIN Code . You can use these features after entering the correct PIN code.

Entering the PIN code

1� Press and open the Prefer menu. 2� Highlight Parental Control.

3� Press or to displays the PIN code entry screen. Using the numeric key to key in password. (Default password is 0000)

If the wrong PIN code is entered, the message “Password Error,Retry:” appears. Enter the code again.

When the correct PIN code is entered, the Parental Control Menu opens.

Stereo

4� Press to save and quick system menu.
