You can play in random order chapters or titles on DVDs, or tracks, 1 disc, or all discs (ALL) with CDs and Video CDs.

“Random All Discs” appears on the screen, and random playback begins.

All tracks on all CDs and Video CDs loaded will play in a random order (DVD discs loaded will be ignored).

To change titles, chapters, or tracks during random play

Press NEXT ¢ and the next randomly selected track starts playing.

Press PREV 4 and playback of the current track starts again from the beginning.

Random playback of chapters within one title – DVD

Press RANDOM once, then press ENTER or PLAY 3 (RANDOM then 3 on the front panel).

“Random Chapter” appears on the screen, and chapters within the title will be played back in random order.

Random playback of titles – DVD

Press RANDOM twice, then press ENTER or PLAY 3 (RANDOM then 3 on the front panel).

“Random Title” appears on the screen, and titles will be played back in random order.

Random playback of all tracks on a disc

Press RANDOM once, then press ENTER or PLAY 3 (RANDOM then 3 on the front panel).

“Random 1 Disc” appears on the screen, and random playback begins.

To stop random play

Press CLEAR. This returns you to normal playback of chapters/tracks in order from the chapter/track currently playing.

Notes

Random play is not possible when a PBC Video CD is playing. Stop the disc first, then select either 1 disc or all discs random play.

Random play of programmed chapters/tracks is not possible.

In the case of DVDs, random playback may not be possible with some discs.

To continued random play, press REPEAT (page 44)
