Troubleshooting

	Symptom		Check

	No picture	•	Check that the LCD display is turned on.

	No sound	•	Check that the display panel is open. If it is closed, audio will not be output to the speakers.
		•	Check the volume setting. If set to zero, turn up volume level.
		•	Check that the headphones are plugged into the PHONES jack.
			Speakers cannot be used with the headphones.

	No picture and sound	•	Check that the DVD player is in the DVD mode and not in the INPUT mode.
	Distorted video or sound	•	Use a disc without scratches or dents.
	While in the input mode,	•	Check that the video or audio cable is securely connected.
	no picture is output from	•	Make sure the S-Video cable is used for output only.
	the external component	•	Make sure the S-Video cable is used for output only.

	to the DVD player	•	Check that the DVD player is in the INPUT mode and not in the DVD mode.
