Note: Never use envelopes with clasps, snaps, windows, coated linings, or self-stick adhesives. These envelopes may severely damage the printer.

4.Gently insert the print material until the printer starts to pick it, then let it go. The MANUAL light comes on.

5.Make sure that the paper source, the paper size, and the paper type are set to the correct value for the print material you are using from your software application, and start your print job.

6.When the MANUAL and the READY light both are blinking on the printer operator panel, place another sheet in the manual feed slot.

7.When you are not using the manual tray, raise the tray and slide it down into place.

Note: If ‘Auto Continue’ option is available in your printer driver and if you set the option to ‘ON’, the printer will automatically use paper in the paper cassette if you do not feed paper into the manual feed slot within 15 seconds.

With ‘Auto Continue’ option set to ‘OFF’, the printer will not print unless you feed paper into the manual feed slot. If you press and hold the operator panel button for about 4 seconds, the printer uses just one sheet from the paper cassette and waits for next sheet from the manual feed slot.
