3.3.5 Remote monitoring & control

Connections can be made through Internet/Intranet by using the remote computer. This connection can be used to control DVRs and monitor areas same as local spot.

3.3.5.1Ethernet connection

(1)Shut the DVR power off.

(2)Connect the Ethernet cable to the DVR and hub or router.

(3)Turn the DVR power on.

To prevent damage to the DVR, turn the power on after connecting the Ethernet cable. The Ethernet cable should be securely connected. After powering on the DVR, check the connection.

3.3.5.2Network settings

The following describes settings for Ethernet.

Refer to “User Manual” when using xDSL for detailed setup instructions.

The user manual can be downloaded from www.samsungcctv.com or found on the CD provided with the product.
