Option 4: Using a HDMI cable

HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a digital interface that allows pure digital video transmission without the loss of image quality.

Note:

Proper working is guaranteed with HDMI compliant products.

When the HDMI cable is unplugged, the { HDMI Video Resolution } setting will automatically switch to default value {576i}.

A Use an HDMI cable (not supplied) to connect the HDMI OUTPUT socket on this recorder to the HDMI IN on a HDMI compatible device (e.g. HDMI TV, HDCP compliant DVI TV).

B Once you have completed the necessary connections, installation and set-up, see chapter “DVD Setup Menu Options – PLAYBACK Settings”.

Helpful Hints:

Digital devices from different manufacturers have the possibility of differing output standards which may cause diffi culties for the television to properly display.

The HDMI connector is only compatible with HDMI compliant devices and DVI-TV.

TIPS: Before making or changing any connections, make sure that all the devices are disconnected from the power outlet.
