Before Requesting Service
If it appears that the DVD Player is faulty, first consult this checklist. It may be that something has been overlooked. Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the system yourself; this will invalidate the warranty.
Look for the specific symptom(s).Then perform only the actions listed to remedy the specific symptom(s).

| – If you are using a HiFi amplifier, try another sound source. | |
| – If you are using a Receiver, select the DVD Player as the sound source at the | |

Distorted sound from HiFi amplifier | – Make sure no audio connections are made to the amplifier’s phono input. | |

–Clean the disc.
–Check if the disc is defective by trying another disc.
–Check if the disc is badly scratched or warped (not flat).

The DVD Player does not respond to the remote control.
–Aim the remote control directly at the DVD Player.
–Remove any obstacles between the DVD Player and the remote control.
