Disc Compartment Insert a Disc here. Load the Disc with the label facing up and the shiny side facing down. If the Disc is two-sided, make sure the label of the side you want to play is facing up.

OPEN/CLOSE

Press to release the Disc com- partment lid.

POWER Button

Press to turn the Player on or off.

IR (Infrared) Remote sensor

This sensor receives commands from the Player’s remote control. Point the remote here (not toward your TV).

STANDBY and ON lights

The STANDBY light will appear when the Player is in power- saving Standby mode.You cannot use the Player, so it appears to be “off.” When the Player is in Standby mode, you can turn on the Player using POWER or PLAY on the remote. The On light will appear when the Player’s power is On and the Player is ready for use. It also appears during Disc play. It flashes while the power is turning on.

The On light also blinks every time the Player receives a command from the remote (every time you press an active button).

PLAY/PAUSE button

Press to play a Disc. Press to pause play; press again to resume play.

STOP button

Press once to stop Disc play. Play will resume from the same point the next time you start play. See page 15.

Or, press STOP twice to stop Disc play. Play will resume from the beginning of the Disc the next time you start play.
