SETTING THE TV REMOTE TO WORK ACCESSORY DEVICES

DIRECT ACCESS METHOD

Now that you have looked up the three-digit Remote Control Direct

Entry Code for your brand of acces- sory device, you are ready to follow the simple steps shown below.

Please read through all the steps before beginning.

BEGIN

Move the slide switch on the side

of the TV remote to VCR or ACC mode for the device you want.

Press the VCR RECORD (•) button and release.

Within 30 seconds, press the SMARTSOUND button.

Within 30 seconds, Enter the three-digit ID code (the code is list

on pages 45 and 46).

Point the remote at the accessory

device. Then press the POWER but- ton on the TV remote to turn the device on.

receivers, DVDs, and laser disc players.

If the procedure explained above does not work the first time, repeat the steps using the same remote code number.

If after a second try the TV remote does not operate your accessory device, and more code numbers are listed for your brand, use the next listed code number. Continue trying the code numbers until successful.

If none of the codes listed for the accessory device will work, go to the Search Method on the next page.
