The Quick Search feature locates the beginning of each recording on a tape, then plays the first portion of the recording at high speed for 30 seconds. After it plays the portion, the VCR fast for- wards the tape to the next recording. This process is repeated until the end of the tape is reached, or until you stop the Quick Search.

Press the QUICK SEARCH button. QUICK SEARCH will appear on the screen while the VCR is fast forwarding the tape. The VCR will fast forward the tape to the beginning of the next recording. The VCR will play the tape at high speed for 30 sec- onds, then go to the next recording.
To skip immediately to the beginning of the next recording on the tape, press the QUICK SEARCH button on the remote control.

To resume normal tape playback, press the PLAY/o button.

Helpful Hints
•There must be a tape in the VCR.
•This function will not operate during a recording.
•To cancel a Quick Search that is in progress, press the STOP/p button.
•If the end of the tape is reached during a Quick Search, the VCR will cancel the search and rewind the tape. Details are on page 45.
