readings. Temperatures taken from the skin’s surface may be 2- 3°F (1-1.5°C) lower than oral readings. For exam- ple, if the Fever Monitor registers a skin temperature of 97°F (36.1°C), your child’s oral temperature may actually be 99–100°F (37.2–37.8°C). This differential should be considered when monitoring your baby’s temperature. We suggest you take your baby’s temperature using either the BébéSounds® Ear Thermometer or the BébéSounds®

5-Second 3-Way Thermometer to determine the difference between the reading from the skin and the reading using another method.

CAUTION: Do not remove the clip on the back of the monitor. Only use the required battery type (1.5V A76 alkaline battery). Do not immerse in water. Only use alcohol or water to clean the probe. Keep out of the reach of children when not in use. Do not expose to direct sunlight.

CARE AND CLEANING

1.The Fever Monitor is a delicate device. To ensure proper functioning, do not immerse the unit in water and avoid dropping it.

2.Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with either alcohol or water. Never immerse it in water or use an abrasive cleaner.

3.Keep out of the reach of children when not in use. The optimal storage temperature is between -4–140°F (-20–60°C).

4.Do not disassemble the monitor or remove the clip on

the back.

If this thermometer fails to function properly when used as directed under normal conditions within the 1-year period, Unisar Inc. will either repair or replace the product at its option, free of charge, when it is returned in its original packaging, postage prepaid, with proof of purchase. Unisar® will bear the cost of repairing or replacing the product and shipping it back to you. Repair or replacement of the defective item is subject to verification of the malfunction or defect when delivered to:
