Installation of Anchor Hardware

WARNING

Avoid serious injury or death:

•Be sure anchor hole is properly sealed to prevent exhaust fumes and water from entering the vehicle.

•If you wish to remove anchor once child outgrows car seat, make sure hole is properly plugged or sealed to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle.

Vehicle may already be equipped with a tether anchor (top strap anchor). See vehicle owner’s manual for location.

If vehicle does not have a tether anchor, one must be installed:

•Contact vehicle dealership for proper anchor location and installation.

•Before installing anchor, install car seat with harness system on a vehicle seat and check that the lap belt portion of the vehicle belt will hold car seat securely. If not, move car seat to another seating position.

Installation des pièces d’ancrage

Prévenez les blessures graves et la mort :

•Assurez-vous que le trou d’ancrage est correctement scellé pour éviter que les fumées d’échappement et l’eau ne pénètrent dans le véhicule.

•Si vous désirez démonter les pièces d’ancrage une fois que l’enfant n’utiliseplus le siège de voiture, assurez-vous que le trou d’ancrage est correctement bouché ou scel lé pour empêcher les fumées d’échappement de pénétrer dans le véhicule.

Il se peut que les pièces d'ancrage soient déjà posées dans le véhicule (ancre pour la sangle supérieure). Consultez le guide du propriétaire du véhicule pour en connaître l’emplacement.

Si le véhicule n’est pas pourvu de pièces d’ancrage, vous devez les installer :

•Consultez un concessionnaire automobile pour savoir où et comment installer les pièces d’ancrage.

•Avant d’installer ces pièces, installez le siège de voiture sur la banquette du véhicule et assurez-vous que la sangle sous-abdominale de la ceinture retient solidement le siège de voiture. Sinon, placez le siège de voiture ailleurs dans le véhicule.
