MCM155, MCM166 specifications

Porter-Cable has established itself as a trusted name in the power tool industry, and the MCM166 and MCM155 models exemplify the brand's commitment to quality, innovation, and user-friendly design. Both tools are designed to cater to a wide range of woodworking and construction needs, making them essential for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

The Porter-Cable MCM166 is a versatile miter saw that stands out for its robust construction and precise cutting capabilities. One of its key features is the dual-bevel design, allowing users to make accurate bevel cuts in both directions without having to flip the material. This significantly enhances productivity and makes complex projects simpler to handle. The saw's powerful motor delivers ample power for even the toughest materials, while its laser guide system ensures precise alignment of cuts, improving overall accuracy.

Equipped with a large, adjustable table, the MCM166 provides ample surface area for larger workpieces, promoting stability and reducing vibration during operation. Additionally, the miter detent plate is made of stainless steel and features 10 positive stops, enabling users to easily select common angles for quick adjustments, thereby streamlining the workflow on the job site.

On the other hand, the MCM155 is a compact and portable solution ideal for smaller spaces or mobile use. This model features a lightweight design that does not compromise strength. Its cordless capability powered by advanced lithium-ion technology allows users to work freely without the hassle of power cords. The MCM155 also incorporates an intuitive user interface with an LED work light, illuminating the cutting area for enhanced visibility, especially in dimly lit situations.

Both models boast a safety-first design, featuring blade guards and electric brakes that engage immediately after releasing the trigger. This not only protects the user but also enhances the longevity of the tool. The ergonomic design of both MCM166 and MCM155 ensures that users can operate them comfortably for extended periods, reducing fatigue.

In summary, the Porter-Cable MCM166 and MCM155 are prime examples of innovation within the power tool market, combining precision, power, and portability. Whether you’re tackling a home improvement project or working on a professional build, these tools offer the features and technologies needed to achieve high-quality results with every cut.
