Important Child Seat Usage Information

All infants must ride rear-facing at least until they have reached 1 year of age and weigh 20 lbs (9.1 kg).

An infant positioning insert may be necessary for small infants to achieve a snug fit if the child is under 12 lbs and the lowest harness slots fall above the infants shoulders. The Infant positioning insert is sold separately at select retailers and on www.britaxusa.com.

Britax advises that parents strongly consider the following when using this child seat.

Children should be secured with a harness system until they exceed the weight or height limits specified.

Britax recommends that children ride rear-facing to the highest weight or height specified.

WARNING! REAR-FACINGuse of this child seat is ONLY for children who meet ALL of the requirements below. If the child cannot be secured within these requirements because they are too small, use of the infant positioning insert or selection of a different child seat (such as an infant car seat) may be required. If the child cannot be secured within these requirements because the child is too large, review the forward-facing guidelines on page 7.

70 CS specifications

The Britax 70 CS is a highly regarded car seat designed for optimal safety, comfort, and convenience for parents and their little ones. It exemplifies Britax's commitment to innovative features and thoughtful design, ensuring that both parents and children have peace of mind during travel.

One of the standout features of the Britax 70 CS is its unique SafeCell Technology. This system includes a specially designed base that compresses during a crash, lowering the center of gravity and reducing the likelihood of vehicle movement. This feature helps to keep the car seat more securely anchored in place, providing additional protection for the child in the event of an accident. Additionally, the car seat is equipped with a Deep Side Impact Protection system, which features a contoured shell that absorbs crash energy and absorbs impact forces, effectively safeguarding the child's head, neck, and torso.

Comfort is another key characteristic of the Britax 70 CS. The seat is engineered with plush, soft fabrics that provide a cozy environment for children. The seat also features multiple recline positions, allowing parents to adjust the angle for their child's comfort. This is particularly important for younger children who may need a more reclined position to support their head and neck.

Installation of the Britax 70 CS is designed to be user-friendly. The seat features the easy to use, secure installation system with a built-in lock-off that ensures the seat is tightly secured to the vehicle's seat. The LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) connectors make it simple to install the car seat without the use of the vehicle's seat belt.

In terms of versatility, the Britax 70 CS accommodates children from 5 to 70 pounds, allowing for extended use as the child grows. Its harness system is adjustable, ensuring proper fit as the child gains weight and height. Furthermore, it converts seamlessly from a rear-facing car seat for infants to a forward-facing seat for older children, making it a long-term investment for safety.

Overall, the Britax 70 CS stands out as a premier choice for parents seeking a car seat that brings together high-level safety features, comfort, and ease of use. Its combination of advanced technologies and thoughtful design makes it an excellent option for family journeys.
