Verify the following before you begin installing Cisco VT Advantage and the Cisco VT Camera:

Ensure that your Cisco IP Phone is connected to your corporate telephony network. If your Cisco IP Phone is powered on and you can make voice calls, then you are properly connected.

Ensure that your Cisco IP Phone is video enabled. If the LCD screen on

your Cisco IP Phone displays this video icon on the status line, then your phone is video enabled. (If you do not see an icon similar to this one on your IP Phone, contact your system administrator.)

Ensure that a standard Ethernet cable is connected from your personal computer’s (PC) Ethernet input to the Access Port labelled “10/100 PC” on the back of your Cisco IP Phone. On most PCs, you can verify that this connection is working by the presence of a lit green LED at the point where the Ethernet cable plugs into the PC.
