Use either xD-Picture Card or Microdrive as recording media in the FinePix S7000.

•If an xD-Picture Card and a Mierodrive are inserted at the same time, images will be recorded onto the media selected as the "MEDIA" (.-P.83).

•Data cannot be copied between the two media types on the FinePix $7000.

Set the Power switch to "OFF", check that the indicator lamp is off and then open the slot cover.

Turn the camera on and check that no battery level warning ("C_" or "C::3") appears on the screen. If no icon appears, there is ample charge left in the batteries.

P The information above is an approximate guide for photography mode. Depending on the camera mode and the type of batteries used, the transition from "(:11_" to "C:]" may occur more quickly.

_;t When the batteries run out, "C:]" appears and camera operation automatically stops. When this occurs, the camera may work if you turn it on again even without loading new or fully charged batteries. However, this may cause camera faults such as the camera turning itself off without retracting the lens. Always load new or fully charged batteries.

;t Due to the nature of the battery, the battery low warning may appear early when the camera is used in cold locations. This is normal and does not indicate a fault. Try warming the batteries in your pocket or a similar location before use.

When this function is active, it also turns off the screen (Sleep mode) to reduce power consumption if the camera is not used for 30 seconds (-_P.86). If the camera is then left unused for 2 or 5 minutes, the Power save function automatically turns the camera off. To turn the camera back on, set the Power switch to "OFF" briefly and then back to "1_1"or "i_".
