10. TERMINATING RESISTANCE AND ID ADDRESS SETTINGS

The ID address of the RS-485 and the terminating resistance can be set by using the switches Nos. 1 through 9 of the DIP Switch (10) located on the bottom of the Main Unit.

[1] Setting the terminating resistance

The terminating resistance is built in each Camera, and it can be turned ON/OFF by using the pin No. 9 of the DIP Switch (10) of each Camera. To prevent the attenuation of the signal, turn ON the terminating resistances of the 2 Cameras located at both ends of the longest route, of all cameras to be connected to the RS-485 interface, and turn OFF the terminating resistances of the other Cameras.

The ID address for communication of the RS-485 can be set by using the switches No. 1 through 8 of the DIP Switch (10). (Refer to "Setting the ID address" table - P26, 27)
