Capturing Still Images While Recording Movies

If the shutter-release button is pressed all tile way while recording a movie, one frame is saved as a still image (except when Movie options (_ 148) is set to ,j_'_ iFrame 540 (960x540)). Movie recording continues while tile still irrmge is being saved.

A still image can be saved when r%']is displayed at the top left of the monitor.

¢3"1is not displayed while saving still images. Another still image cannot be saved until r%']is displayed again.

The image size of the saved still image depends on the Movie options

(_ 148) settings. The compression

ratio

is approximately 1:8.

_1_ Notes on Saving Still Images During Movie Recording

When the remaining movie length is less than 30 seconds, still images cannot be saved,

When recording an HS movie (_ 143), still images cannot be saved,

The sound of the shutter release button being pressed may be heard in the recorded movie,

if the camera moves when the shutter release button is pressed, the image may be blurred.
