		Troubleshooting
	If...	Try one or more of the following
	Picture is too light	■ Reposition camera to reduce the amount of available light.
	or overexposed	■ Turn flash off (page 13).
		■ Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the
		effective flash range (page 13).
		■ To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
		halfway. When the AF/AE indicator is green, press the Shutter
		button completely down to take the picture.
		■ Use P mode to adjust the exposure compensation.
	Picture is not clear	■ To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
		halfway. When the AF/AE indicator is green, press the Shutter
		button completely down to take the picture.
		■ Clean the lens (page 71).
		■ Make sure camera is not in Macro AF mode if you are more than
		24 in. (61 cm) from your subject.
		■ Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod, especially
		in high-zoom settings or in low light.
Mode-dial-light indicator status
	If...	Try one or more of the following
	Mode dial light	■ Turn on the camera (page 3).
	does not turn on	■ Recharge the battery or install a new one (page 2).
	and the camera	■ Camera may have turned off automatically. Turn on the camera and

	Mode dial light	■ Picture is being processed and saved to the camera. Camera is

		■ Camera is connected. Camera is operating normally.
