SCN mode
Night	Reduces red eye of people in	f/2.8–f/3.7, Multi-Pattern Exposure Metering,
Portrait	night scenes or low-light	Multi-Zone Focus
	conditions. Place the camera
	on a flat, steady surface or
	use a tripod.
Landscape	Distant scenery. Flash does	f/2.8–f/3.7, Infinity Focus, Multi-Pattern
	not fire. Auto-focus framing	Exposure Metering, Daylight White Balance,
	marks (page 7) are not	ISO 100
	available in Landscape.
Night	Distant scenery at night.	f/2.8–f/3.7, Infinity Focus, Daylight White
Landscape	Flash does not fire. Place the	Balance, Center-Weight Metering, Daylight
	camera on a flat, steady	White Balance, ISO 100
	surface or use a tripod.
Manner/	Quiet occasions, like a	f/2.8–f/3.7, no sounds, no flash, Multi-Pattern
Museum	wedding or lecture. Flash and	Exposure Metering, Multi-Zone Focus, ISO 100
	sound are disabled. Place the
	camera on a flat, steady
	surface or use a tripod.
Text	Documents. Place the	f/2.8–f/3.7, Macro Focus, +1 Exposure
	camera on a flat, steady	Compensation, Center-Weight Metering
	surface or use a tripod.
Self-	Close-ups of yourself.	f/2.8, Macro Focus, Multi-Pattern Exposure
Portrait	Assures proper focus and	Metering, Multi-Zone Focus, Red Eye Flash,
	minimizes red eye.	ISO 100
