BATTERY-CONDITION INDICATOR

This camera is equipped with an automatic battery-condition indicator. It is displayed in the bottom left corner of the LCD monitor when the camera is on.

Full-battery indicator - the battery is fully charged.

Low-battery indicator - battery power is low. The battery should be recharged as soon as possible.

If power is insufficient for camera operation, the indicator lamp next to the viewfinder blinks. The monitor will not turn on. The battery must be recharged.

AUTO POWER OFF

To conserve battery power, the camera shuts down if an operation is not made within three minutes. To restore power, turn the camera off and on with the lens cover or press the playback button. The length of the auto-power-off period can be changed or the function disabled in the setup menu (p. 76).
