>> Open the battery compartment g on the rear of the device.

>> Insert 4 x 1.5V batteries of the type "C/Baby/LR14" as per the insertion markings shown in the battery compartment g.

>> Pay heed to the correct poling of the batteries, otherwise the device will not function and could even be damaged.

>> Close and secure the battery compartment g .

>> Leaking batteries can cause damage to the radio. If you do not intend to use the device for an extended period, remove the batteries.

Switching the device on and off

>> To switch the device on, turn the On/Off switch - sound volume regulator i clockwise over a small resistance.

>> Press the respective button

>> FM

= Very high frequency o,

>> MW = Medium wave a,

>> LW

= Long wave s, or

>> SW

= Short wave d,

>> to select the desired frequency range .

>> For VHF reception, extend the telescope aerial q to its full length and then determine its best positioning.

>> For reception of the remaining frequency ranges, the radio is fitted with a built-in aerial. To improve reception, if necessary turn the radio until it is in the most favourable position.

>> Turn the transmitter calibration TUNING e to receive the desired radio station. Use the station dial for orientation.

>> Select the desired sound volume using the sound volume regulator i.
