Installing the Camera Remove the back from the housing. The mounting tray for the camera is secured to the housing back.
Position the camera on the tray and secure it with the
mounting bolt
which threads into the camera’s tripod socket. Use a coin
or flat bladed
screwdriver to tighten the against the tray.
CAUTION:
Some camera tripod socket threads are plastic. The mounting tray bolt is metal. Do not cross thread or over tighten as you may damage the camera tripod socket threads.
NOTE: The camera’s Lens Cover must be in the open position before closing the housing.
Slide the camera’s Lens Cover open, then slide it back towards the lens until the camera’s lens retracts back into the camera body. Leave the Lens Cover in this position when installing the camera into the housing. In this position the housing ON/OFF control can be used to turn the camera on and off.

Checking Controls
Once the housing has been closed, push the controls back into place. Make sure they line up with the camera’s controls. Pull out on the housing’s Zoom Control and align with the camera’s Zoom Lever then push the housing control back in to engage with the camera’s Zoom lever.
Turning the Camera On
To turn the camera ON, use the housing ON/OFF control to slide the Camera Lens Cover away from the lens. To turn the camera OFF, pull out on the housing ON/OFF control and rotate it past the raised part of the Lens Cover, push down and slide the Lens Cover toward the lens (Lens will retract into camera body).
Using the Right Arrow/Flash and Multi Control Dial The housing’s control for the camera’s Right Arrow/Flash and Multi Control Dial has a white dot that aligns with the housing controls activation paw. The control is used in two different ways. To activate the Right Arrow/Flash function place the white dot over the camera control and push in and pull out on the housing control.
To rotate the camera’s Multi Control Dial place the white dot at about an 8 o’clock position, rotate the housing control clockwise to about the 10 o’clock position. Lift the housing control and repeat this action until the desired setting is obtained.
CAUTION:
Underwater the white dot on the control should be placed in the
3 o’clock position so it does not activate the camera’s Arrow/Flash control. Underwater the water pressure will push this control in. If the camera’s Right Arrow/Flash control is held in the depressed position several camera functions will not activate.

Double check - Once the housing is closed, check the o’ring seal. Check the gap between the housing back and the housing, it should be even all the way around.
Look through the clear plastic back at the o’ring. You should see a darkened area where the o’ring is compressed against the housing back. If you do not see an even black compression seal all the way around the back, open the lid snaps, reseat the housing back and close the lid snaps. Visually check the seal again.
5
Using the Zoom Control Underwater
When the housing’s Zoom control is activated underwater the water pressure will not allow the camera’s Zoom lever to return to the center position. When the camera’s Zoom lever is held to either side it will not allow the camera to take a picture. You must return the camera’s Zoom lever to the center position after each activation.
Lubricants
1. Ikelite provides silicone lubricant with the housing. We recommend you use only Ikelite lubricant on Ikelite products as some other brands may cause the o’ring to swell and not seal properly.
2. Use only enough lubricant to lightly cover control shafts and o’rings. Wipe off any excess lubricant with a clean cloth. Lubricant is not a sealant, it is used to reduce friction. Excessive lubricant can collect sand and dirt which may interfere with proper sealing.
CAUTION
Never use spray lubricants as the propellant ingredient can cause the plastic housing to crack.
