Digital Still Camera mode

MPEG4 REC

MPEG4 REC MODE is able to store audio and video on a MEMORY STICK.

You can record 10 ~ 20 seconds continuously.

Recording the moving picture images onto the MEMORY STICK

1.Check whether MEMORY STICK is inserted into the camcorder. If it is not in the camcorder, insert it into the slot.

2.Set the MODE SWITCH to MEMORY.

3.Set the POWER SWITCH to CAMERA.

4.Press START/STOP button to start recording.

5.To stop recording, press the (STOP) button.

Selecting the moving picture sizes

1.Set the mode switch to MEMORY position.

2.Set the power switch to CAMERA mode.

3.Press the MENU button.

4.Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MEMORY.

5.Press the ENTER button to enter the submenu.

6.Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight MPEG4 SIZE.

7.Press the ENTER button.

The MPEG4 SIZE toggles between 320X240 - 160X120 with each push.

Moving images that you recorded are saved in *.asf file format on the Memory Stick.

You can record the moving picture images as 320 x 240 pixel or 160 x 120 pixel.

The files that you recorded are saved in a folder as shown below.

The moving picture images on a Memory Stick are smaller and have less definition than Tape recordings.

The sound is recorded in Mono.

The following functions are not allowed in M.REC Mode.

- DIS (Digital Image Stabilizer), Digital Zoom, Fade, Program AE, Digital Effect, Slow Shutter

While recording onto a Memory Stick, don’t insert or eject the tape, as noise may be recorded.

While recording onto a Memory Stick, don’t eject it, as it may affect the data or the stick itself.
