NOTES:
To erase a character you entered mistakenly, make “CLEAR” blink by rotating the MENU Jog Dial, then press it. All characters are deleted at once. Or, to erase selected characters only, first move the blinking cursor to the characters at the bottom row which you want to replace, then rotate the MENU Jog Dial to highlight
“ ” in the top left corner, and then press it.
To display the characters you have set — “Date/Time/ Character Insert” (pg. 19) or “Instant Titles”
(pg. 23).
Characters may be set only in the Record-Standby mode.
Press the MENU Jog Dial.

•To select the location of the next character, rotate the MENU Jog Dial to make “ BACK ”or “NEXT ” at the bottom of the screen blink, then press it repeatedly to move the blinking cursor underneath the desired location. Rotate the MENU Jog Dial when you are done, and the blinking cursor returns to the character grid.
END CHARACTER SETTING
4 Rotate the MENU jog dial to make “EXIT” blink, then press it. The Menu Screen reappears and the highlight bar is placed on “MENU END”.

Rotate the MENU Jog Dial to move the highlight bar to “CHARACTER”, then press it.

3 Rotate the MENU Jog Dial to make the desired character blink, then press it. The selected character appears at the bottom of the screen. Repeat for additional characters (max. 18).

You can enter an original title of up to 18 characters.
