Setting the focal length of a lens

When a lens based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard/Four Thirds System standard is in use, a focal length is set automatically.

If your lens is based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard/Four Thirds System standard but does not have a communication function with the camera, set the focal length of the lens.

Preparations: Set the [Shoot w/o Lens] to [ON]. (P85)

1Select the menu.

[MENU] > [Rec]>[Stabilizer]

2Press 3/4 to select [Focal Length Set] and then press [MENU/SET].

3Select the focal length of your lens with 2/1.

A focal length ranging from 8 mm to 1000 mm can be set.

Set a focal length written on the body of your lens, etc.

If the focal length setting for your lens is not found, select a value close to the focal length of your lens.

If your lens is a zoom lens, select a value according to the focal length at the time of recording.

4Press [MENU/SET].

Registering a focal length

1Perform step 3 in “Setting the focal length of a lens”.

2Press 4.

3Press 2/1 to select the focal length to be

overwritten and then press [DISP.].

Confirmation screen is displayed. It is executed when [Yes]

is selected.

Up to 3 focal length settings can be registered.

Exit the menu after it is set.

Setting a registered focal length

1On the screen in step 3 of “Setting the focal length of a lens”, press 4.

2Press 2/1 to select the registered focal lengthand then press [MENU/SET].
