5.Some vehicles may have a hole available to pass the wire through (Fig. 3) such as where the license plate lamp is mounted, or you may need to drill a 1⁄2hole to pass the wire through. If you are able to use an existing opening, skip the next two steps.
6.If you drill a 1⁄2hole for the wire, choose a location as close to the camera as possible. Before you drill, CHECK TO SEE WHAT IS BEHIND WHERE THE HOLE WILL BE LOCATED. Take all necessary precautions not to damage any electrical cables or fuel system components. Remove the license plate and camera before drilling.
7.Pass the wire and 3.5 mm Female Jack through the grommet before inserting the grommet into the drilled 1⁄2hole. Be sure to use the grommet to keep sharp metal edges from cutting the
camera cable.
