With coils and speakers wired in parallel,

2 dual 4 Ohm speakers will present a 1 Ohm load. (Not recommended unless amplifier is rated for 1 Ohm operation.)

Deux haut-parleurs, à bobines 4 Ohm jume- lées configurées en parallèle, câblés en parallèle constituent une charge de 1 Ohm. (Non recom- mandé à moins que l’amplificateur soit capable de soutenir une charge de 1 Ohm.)

With the coils wired in series and the speakers wired in parallel, 2 dual 4 Ohm speakers will present a 4 Ohm load.
