Setting up your CD player

Installing batteries

To install batteries:

1Lift the battery compartment door on the bottom of your CD player. Do not remove the door.

2Insert two AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure that the + and – symbols on the batteries match the + and – symbols inside the battery compartment.

3Close the battery compartment door.

Caution

Use only the size and type of batteries specified.

Make sure that you match the + and – symbols on the batteries with the + and – symbols inside the battery compartment. If you insert the batteries backwards, your CD player may be damaged.

Do not mix different types of batteries together (such as, alkaline, rechargeable, and carbon/zinc).

Do not mix old batteries and new batteries.

When you do not plan to use your CD player for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.

Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged. They can overheat and rupture.

Note

If the symbol “LOW BATTERY” appears on the display, batteries are weak and should be replaced.
