Backlight (Media Player Only)

The backlight feature sets the amount of time the backlight remains on after no buttons have been pressed on the media player. The time may be set to 5, 15, 30, or 60 seconds, or Always On if you want the backlight to always remain on. To set the backlight, select the Backlight menu option from the Display Settings menu when using the media player. Use Fast-Forward and Rewind to highlight your choice and press Play/Pause to set the backlight. (Figures 2 & 3)

Jump Settings

The Jump Settings menu option provides for setting the jump function of the Back button.

Traffic/Weather

Details for setting the jump feature to a traffic/weather channel is found in the Jump/Back Feature section on page 73.

Parental Controls

Auto-Dim Off/On

The Auto-Dim Off/On feature turns the automatic dimming feature of the display screen in low light conditions On or Off. Details for setting auto-dim On or Off is found in the Auto Dim- ming section on page 77.

Auto-Dim Brightness

The Auto-Dim Brightness menu option sets the brightness of the display screen when it is dimmed. Details for setting the auto-dim brightness is found in the Auto Dimming section on page 77.

The Parental Controls menu provides for locking channels and playlists, and for hiding chan- nels.

Locks Disabled/Enabled

The Locks Enabled/Locks Disabled menu option provides for enabling or disabling the channel and playlist locks. Details for enabling or disabling locks are found in the Parental Controls section on page 67.

Define Locks

The Set Locks menu option provides for locking (or unlocking) channels and playlists. Details for setting locks are found in the Parental Controls section on page 67.

Hide Channels

The Hide Channels menu option provides for hiding specific channels from channel lists, or showing channels which had previously hidden. Details for hiding/showing channels are found in the Hide Channels section on page 70.
