Optimising radio reception

Treble reduction feature during interference (HICUT)

The HICUT function improves the sound during poor radio reception. If interfer- ence occurs, the treble is automatically reduced thus reducing the interference level.

Activating HICUT

➮press the TUNER button < in ra- dio mode.

The first page of the radio functions menu is displayed.

➮Press the NEXT button 3.

➮Press the softkey 4 assigned to the “HCUT”display item.

➮Move the joystick 7 up/right or down/left to adjust the HiCut.

“HICUT 0”equates to the lowest reduc- tion of the interference level, “HICUT 3” is the highest reduction.

➮Press the joystick OK 7 or the MENU button 8 to close the menu.

The settings are saved.

Setting the radiotext display

Some stations use the RDS signal to broadcast scrolling texts known as ra- diotexts. You can allow radiotexts to be displayed or you can block them.

➮press the TUNER button < in ra- dio mode.

The radio functions menu appears in the display.

➮Press the NEXT button 3.

The “second page” of the radio func- tions menu is displayed.

➮Press the softkey 4 assigned to the “RTXT”display item.

“RTXT ON” or “RTXT OFF” appears briefly in the display.

➮Press the TUNER button < or the joystick OK 7. The settings are saved.
