Announcement type:

Activates Announcement Standby Reception for the selected announcement type.

Off: Cancels the Reception.

ANN indicator (either lights up or flashes)

If the ANN indicator lights up, Announcement Standby Reception is activated.

If the ANN indicator flashes, Announcement Standby Reception is not yet activated.

To activate Announcement Standby Reception, tune in to another service providing these signals.

When you tune in to such a station, the ANN indicator stops flashing and remains lit. Now Announcement Standby Reception is activated.

Using PTY Standby Reception

PTY Standby Reception allows the unit to switch temporarily to your favorite programme (PTY: Programme Type) from any source except AM stations

Operations are exactly the same as explained on pages 14 and 15 for FM RDS stations.

You cannot use PTY Standby Reception separately for the DAB tuner and for the FM tuner.

To select your favorite PTY code for PTY Standby Reception, see page 14.

To activate PTY Standby Reception, see page 15.

You can activate and deactivate PTY Standby Reception when the source is either “FM” or “DAB.”

Tracing the same programme—

Alternative Reception

You can keep listening to the same programme.

While receiving a DAB service:

When driving in an area where a service cannot be received, this unit automatically tunes in to another ensemble or FM RDS station broadcasting the same programme.

While receiving an FM RDS station: When driving in an area where a DAB service is broadcasting the same programme as the FM RDS station is broadcasting, this unit automatically tunes in to the DAB service.

To change the Alternative Reception setting,
