Read a received message Select View.

Reply to a message Select Reply.

Read several received messages Select Menu > Messaging and Inbox, and the desired message.

Send and organise messages To send a message, select Send.

Note: The message sent icon or text on your device screen does not indicate that the message is received at the intended destination.

If message sending is interrupted, the device tries to resend the message a few times. If these attempts fail, the message is marked as failed in the Sent items folder.

The device saves received messages in the Inbox folder.

Flash messages

Flash messages are text messages that are instantly displayed upon reception.

Select Menu > Messaging.

1Select More > Other messages > Flash message.

2Write your message.

3Select Send to and a contact.

Select Menu > Messaging.

Audio message. The voice recorder opens.

2Select the icons to control the recording.

— Record your message.

— Pause the recording,

— Stop the recording.

3Select Send to and a contact.

Message settings

Select Menu > Messaging and More > Msg. settings.

Select from the following:

General settings — Set the font size for messages, and activate graphical smileys and delivery reports.

Text messages — Set up message centres for text messages and SMS mail. Multimedia msgs. — Allow delivery reports and the reception of multimedia messages and advertisements, and set up other preferences related to multimedia messages.

Service messages — Activate service messages, and set up preferences related to service messages.
