Using the Menu System

The menu system provides the means for accessing all the functions which do not have their own dedicated buttons on the keypad.

The menu functions are selected using the five-way Navigation key.(g)

Selecting a Function

FQ and g move around the icons on the screen. When a particular menu is highlighted, F Q, a submenu is displayed. From any submenu, use e until the required item is highlighted, F Q

Example:

From Idle F Q, select Phone Option> Security > Phone Lock > Status F Q

Use e to choose Enable or Disable, F Q

Enter the lock code, See "Locking the Phone" page 11, F Q In detail:

1Use g to enter the menu system

2Use d a to highlight the Phone Option menu

3F Q to enter the menu

4Use a twice to highlight the Security menu

5F Q three times to enter the Phone Lock menu

6Use e to select Enable or Disable F Q

7Enter the Lock Code F Q

Following some operations the display will automatically clear after three seconds, if this is not the case F E to return to Idle.
