3.Press and hold the PTT button, wait for the chirp, then speak into the microphone.

Name Method

1.Press Mode until you see “Prvt Ready” on your display.

2.Press MENU until you see the “Name” menu option on your display.

3.Press under “Name”.

4.Press the key with the first letter of the name associated with the Private ID.

5.Press to find the desired name in the list.

6.Press and hold the PTT button, wait for the chirp, then speak into the microphone.

RECEIVING A PRIVATE CALL

When you receive an incoming Private call, you hear a brief tone. Your unit automatically switches to Private mode, and the Private ID or the name of the caller displays.

Wait for the caller to finish speaking, then press and hold the PTT button. Begin speaking after you hear the chirp.

PROGRAMMING YOUR PRIVATE ID

To store your Private ID in your portable:

1. Press

2 ABC .

2.Press under “Ok”.

3.Enter the Private ID provided by your carrier.

4.Press under “Store”.

RECALLING YOUR PRIVATE ID

1.To recall your portable’s private ID, press 2 ABC . This is the number supplied by your carrier, that you must store in your portable. See “Programming Your Private ID” above.

2.Press under “Exit”.
