6.Text or Messenger Status Indicator Shows text entry method or case when you are in a text entry screen:

[ = symbol method ] = text method R = iTAP method

V = capitalise next letter only

W = numeric method

\= Tap method U = no capital letters T = all capital letters

When instant messaging is active:

P = Messenger active

I = available for Messenger

_ = busy

Q = invisible to Messenger

J = available for

X = offline

phone calls

 

When a Java application is active, a ` (java midlet) indicator can appear in this location.

7. Message or Text Entry Method Indicator Appears when you receive a new message. Indicators can include:

r = text message

t = voicemail

t = answering

d = Messenger message

a = active chat session

When you enter a multimedia message, a number in this location indicates the size of the message.
