connection tips

When you connect your phone to a computer, your computer may display a pop-up installation wizard. This occurs because your computer is trying to communicate with a USB device. You do not need to install any drivers when you connect the phone to your computer— cancel the pop-up installation wizard and continue with the connection.

If you connect your phone to a computer and the computer does not recognize the phone immediately, unplug the USB cable from the phone and then reconnect it.

charging through your phone’s USB port

You can charge your phone’s battery by connecting a cable from the phone’s mini- USB port to a highpower USB port on a computer (not a low-power one such as the USB port on your keyboard or buspowered USB hub). Typically, USB high-power ports are located directly on your computer.

Both your phone and the computer must be turned on, and your computer must have the correct software drivers installed. The driver software does not come with your phone but is available at

www.motorola.com.

The actual charge rate depends on the capacity of your computer. It may take approximately twelve hours to charge your phone completely.
